A two-day workshop on Marma Therapy concluded

The Yoga Department of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya organized a two day workshop on 23-24 September on “Marma Therapy“. Around 200 participants, who included teachers and students, attended the program. Inaugurating the program, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Shri Sharad Pardhy, said that these small alternative therapies are capable of diagnosing and curing big diseases. In the absence of precise and accurate knowledge, common man is not able to take advantage of such therapies. According to him, Marma Therapy can cure big diseases, undoubtedly, if the treatment is undergone with patience.

In the next phase of the program, for the next two consecutive days, the expert of the Marma Therapy, Dr. Sunil Joshi, from Rishikul Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, introduced all the participants to the concepts and principles of the Marma Therapy. Speaking about the Father of the Marma Therapy, Maharishi Sushrut, he said that references can be found on Marma Therapy in many places in his books. In the two day workshop participants were introduced to the experimental facts.

At the conclusion of the program, Prof. Suresh Lal Barnwal, stated that Marma therapy is very useful in indigestion. Along with special dignitaries, teachers of the Yoga Department were present in the program.
