Asia’s first
Centre for Baltic Culture and Studies (CBCS) was inaugurated in August 2016 by
H. E. Mr. Aivars Groza, Ambassador of Republic of Latvia,
H. E. Mr. Laimonas Talat-Kapsa, Ambassador of Republic of Lithuania along with,
H. E. Mr. Riho Kruuv, Ambassador of Republic of Estonia,
H. E. Mr. Krishna Kant Paul, Governor of Uttarakhand State, the Chancellor of DSVV,
H. H. Dr. Pranav Pandya Ji and
Prof. Ina Druviete, Vice Rector, University of Latvia. It envisions to foster & promote the cultural activities of both India and Baltic Countries in respective nations. The CBCS intends to discover and disseminate the knowledge about the shared history, heritage and culture of India and the Baltic Nations while foster and promoting cultural activities of both Indian and Baltic countries in their respective nations. It also intends to teach Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian languages as open electives, promote cross language translations of important works of mutual interest and also preparing Hindi-Latvian, Hindi-Lithuanian dictionaries.
The International Taichi Centre established in collaboration with Yunnan Minzu University.
1. Erasmus outreach – Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya has been a privileged partner of Kazimierz Wielki University, Bydgoszcz, Poland wherein the programs of Staff Mobility as well as Student Mobility has been successfully executed. Few glimpses of various occasions during the mobility:
2. Incoming students –
Facilities: The University has been hosting students from more then 12 countries. We have dedicated hostel, fully equipped classrooms and faculty members of international renown to support the students academically. The 75+ acres lush green campus has excellent sport facilities with an indoor gym as well. The campus however residential does not allow smoking, consuming alcohol or drugs or non vegetarian food inside the campus premises. Following is the list of facilities provided for the incoming students:
- Accommodation: Separate international hostel for male and females students with single occupancy rooms for each students. The hostel also has a cooking and dining area, point for drinking water, hot water and wifi.
- Food: As mentioned, the university offers two vegetarian meals daily. Students are allowed to cook their own meals in their hostels. However, cooking non vegetarian food or eggs is strictly prohibited.
- Library: The students have free wifi access of SOUL library software and also to publication joints like Jstor while also having full access of the central library located on the campus.
- Excellent indoor and outdoor sports facility
- Nearby local amenities
