Established with the subtle blessings of Pujya Gurudev Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya and Mataji Bhagwati Devi Sharma and in the patronage of Honorable Chancellor Dr. Pranav Pandya Ji (M.D). It is situated at the ground floor of Chaitanya Bhavan beside the Mahakal temple, in Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Campus, Gayatrikunj, Shantikunj Haridwar in the divine environment on the banks of Ganges closer to the Himalayas.

The Clinic is providing Treatment to the patients suffering from acute or chronic diseases like asthma, arthritis, backache, constipation, diabetes, hypertension, headache, gastro-intestinal disorders, obesity, women’s problem etc. The whole setup is quite beneficial to the students studying in the Yog Department as they can learn how to apply various therapy systems on the patients as well as how these practices affect our system. Apart from that, Yoga Aarogya Poly clinic will give new direction to the researchers looking for a new area of research in Yogic Science and allied systems.

With these three objective: Therapy, Training and Research, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Management, specially Dr. S.P.Mishra, Vice-chancellor and Dr. Chinmaya Pandya, Director of School of Yoga, have guided Dr. Kamakhya Kumar, lecturer Yogic Science to be the Coordinator of the clinic.

Under the Human Conscious and Yogic Science Department of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Yoga and Alternative Therapy Centre is working in full swing. Ayurveda therapies are available here . Today 90% of the human problems are due to improper lifestyle and negative thinking but no permanent cure is available with the modern medical system thus, people are taking interest in Yog and Alternative therapies. The solution to any type of problem should be provided accordingly. The problems prevalent today are either psychological or psychosomatic and a permanent solution is available with the Holistic package of Therapies. Thus this centre is working in this very direction. Various residential and non residential camps are organized on Yog and alternative therapies which have shown encouraging results.

The aims and objectives of this center are-

Psychology Clinic:-The psychological clinic designed, specifically as an O.P.D for the Psychological Patients, is the special feature of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. The clinic deals with all kind of patients having neurotic as well as Psychotic disorders such as OCD, GAD, Stress, Frustration, depression etc. Under the guidance of the Head of Department and senior psychologist Prof. O.P.Mishra the students of M.A. / M. Sc. Clinical Psychology get clinical training which is the part of their course in the 3rd and the 4th semester.

Therapies:-Besides treating the Patients with Psycho therapies and Ayurvedic and Herbal Medicines , our Clinic also provides Alternative Therapies such as:- (i) Yog-Nidra (ii) Reiki (iii) Pranic Healing (iv) Acupressure.The treatment is provided with all the above specified therapies and no allopathic drug is prescribed. The students are trained to undertake the diagnosis of the disorders by using various test and examinations. Around 155 different tests are used to do the diagnosis for various disorders.

Achievements:-This Clinic has been running for the last 3 years and has handled around 350 cases. Around 80% cases have been cured fully and many of the remaining have been cured up to a remarkable level. Cases of prolonged insomnia, stress, suicidal attempts have been cured remarkably. The unique aspect of our clinic is the use of alternative therapies here that are being provided by very few psychological institutions.
