Students should initiate Knowledge Revolution – Vice Chancellor
Orientation programme for students enrolled for Distance Education at Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya was organized through vedic rituals. 175 students from locations like Hardwar, Paudi, Dehradun, Nainital, Uttarakhand, Meerut, Bagpat, Maharajganj,Ajamgadh, Bijnaur, Shahjahanpur,Guna(Madhya Pradesh), Bilaspur(Himachal Pradesh) and Faridabad (Hariyana) participated in the Orientation event.
Faculties at Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya gave a snapshot of Vedic Rituals and guidelines for Education and Knowledge. At this event, University Vice Chancellor, Dr.S.P.Mishra, Sandip Kumar, Distance Education Co-ordinator Prof.Shyam Narayan Mishra, Mass communication, Public Relations and Service Department Joint Co-ordinators Ram Mahesh Mishra, Dr.Dayanand Sinha, Ankur Mehta, Manjari Mehta, Niranjan Sinha were present along with faculties and dignitaries.
The event kickstarted with Vedic rituals and Diksha Poojan performed by Jeetendra Mishra from Sanskrit and Ved Department. Dr.S.P.Mishra stressed on personality development tools like Pranayam, Pavitrikaran. He inspired the student fraternity to lead a life of ideals.
Vice Chancellor, Dr.S.P.Mishra said that Education and Knowledge bear fruits in the form of dedication. This dedication elevates man to a higher level. He stated that Individual, Family and eventually Societal Development Programme was initiated by patron founder Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya. He motivated the students to imbibe rich knowledge from from Indian Culture and ignite a Knowledge Revolution across India. Vice Chancellor stressed the importance of Devotion. Faith and Devotion are two elements that can elevate Man towards Godliness. A beautiful point put forth by him, “A small task executed in a systematic manner is the – Art of Living”. Sandeep Kumar, Registrar DSVV, appealed to the students to ignite a revoultion. Prior to this, Departmental Head Prof Shyam Narayan Mishra gave a warm welcome to students and guests. Shri Mishra said, “Today a total of 175 students from from Certificate Courses -Yog and Health, Personality Refinement, Family Management and Indian Culture and P.G.Diploma in Yogic Science underwent the Orientation session. New Tehri, Karnaprayag, Kashipur, Rudrapur,Halduchaud, Uttarkashi, Baluakot-Pithauragadh, Chinyali Suad, Chauhattakhal, Kotabag-Nainital distance education centres have started their admission process. These centres will witness similar orientation sessions in near future. Distance Education Department kickstarted in year 2008 has been successful with sincere team effort by Dr.Vandana Srivastava, Dr.Kamta Sahu, Dr.Vijay Sinha, Sarita Prajapati, Manorma Neekhra, Menendra Bisen, Yogiraj, Noopur Jaiswal, Aarti Sharma and Rutudhwaj. The comperer for the event was hosted by Gopal Krishna Sharma and Ankur Mehta gave the ‘Vote of Thanks’.
