DSVV won a Bronze Medal in All India National Yoga Competition

The Students of Dev Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya performed outstandingly in the All India Yoga Championship held at Chaudhary Ranveer Singh University located in Jind District of Haryana. The program was inaugurated by the Governor of Haryana, Captain Solanki Singh. According to Dr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, the Yoga Coach in DSVV, 120 Universities participated in the competition, which was held from 21 st to 23 rd March, 2016, amongst which the Girls’ team from DSVV secured 3 rd rank while the Boys’ team secured 6 th rank. According to Dr. Yadav, the performance of a team consisting of 7 members was judged in different dimensions at different stages and then was promoted to the next stage in the competition. In the above program, the performance of Dev Sanskriti University has a significant role to play in Uttarakhand. It is to be recalled that about 6 colleges from the state participated in the competition, amongst which the performance of DSVV was attractive. At the end of the program, the victorious competitors were awarded by the Vice-Chancellor of the Chaudhary Ranveer Singh University and by the S.S.P. of the Jind District.

According to Dr. Pranav Pandya, the Chancellor of DSVV, the next competitions of the above category would also be organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. The DSVV family congratulates the team.
