Innovative Experiments on Environmental Awareness are, periodically, carried out at Shantikunj and the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV). In this context gardening, plantation along with several types of mini gardens are also installed, which convey the message of Greenery Promotion for the environment. The environment protection can be seen as an act of service, art, science or management. In addition to Shantikunj and DSVV, many members associated with Gayatri Pariwar have also expressed their interest in this kind of work, as a result of which a large number of people of a particular section have turned their rooftops green. Various types of small plants have been planted in which papaya, lemon, pomegranate, strawberry, as well as spinach, fenugreek, coriander, mint, cauliflower, capsicum, tomato, brinjal, turmeric, beans, cucumber, ridge gourd, lady finger etc. are the main. The most important thing is that all the members have used only natural manure in this type of gardening. The waste collected by the falling leaves is also used as fertilizer.
