1: What is the difference between Computer Science and Computer Application?
Ans- C.S it is the study & science of the theoretical foundations of information, computation and their implementation & application in computer science.
C.A is the part of C.S exclusively designed for a contain dedicated application of C.S.
2: What is the procedure of the admission?
Ans:- It is very simple. As far as graduation is concerned, the student must have good academic records in 12th standard which is the key on which merit is being made, followed by an interview. Mathematical background and basic knowledge of English is must.
3: What qualification is required for taking admission in B.Sc Computer Science ?
Ans:- 1- 12th pass with good marks. (at least first division) .
2- Fluency in English & computer knowledge is an additional point.
4: What combinations we can choose to compliant the computer courses at DSVV ?
Ans:- PCM is the desired .
PCM or CBZ can also apply with basic computer and logical skills.
5: How many students from your previous batches have been placed? And in which sectors?
Ans:- As our first batch is yet to pass out the graduation. we are sure we can place some of the students in IT sector effectively. We will be organizing campus placement for the final year students.
6: What type of lab facilities are available?
Ans:- lab comprises of 80-84 computer with internet facility of 2 mbps broadband connectivity with printing, scanning, image & video editing facilities.
7: What are the career opportunities in this course?
Ans:- B.Sc=> as it is a graduate course, the opportunities are confined with lab instructors in schools, colleges. Multimedia, Web Development carriers can be taken. The students can opt for further studies in the field of MSc in computer Science or IT .
8: Is it approved subject by UGC, AICTE, or equivalent to any education standard?
Ans:- It is duly approved by AIU, the university is state university & duly recognized by UGC.
9: Under this course, what are the main topics ?
Ans:- 1st year :- overview of I.T. ,OS, discrete math, & C programming
2nd year :- deeper knowledge of OS, communication & networks, system analysis and design(SAD) & object oriented programming (oops)
3rd year :- specialized training of DBMS , OS & web technology ,C.D & E-Commerce , followed by a project.
10: What are the future plans of the department?
Ans- 1-Post Graduation in the fields of IT & CS
