1. What is Rural Management?
Ans. Rural Management is the technology of Integrated Rural development. All the aspects of Rural life like Sanitation, Education, Health, Self Employment, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Environment, Women empowerment.
2. What is the Importance of Rural Management in today’s Scenario?
Ans. To develop and improve the economic and living conditions of the villagers. To eradicate orthodoxies, evil practices, addictions, ill health conditions in the rural areas. To create a healthy, clean and green and ‘Sanskarit’ environment in the villages.
3. What type of courses are offered?
Ans. The department offers a certificate course of six months.
4. What are the main topics of the subject?
Ans. Entrepreneurship development, Agriculture (organic farming), Animal Husbandry (Gopalan), Cottage Industry, Rural Development, Rural Health and Rural Education.
5. What is the Eligibility criteria to get admission in this course?
Ans. Intermediate pass out with 45% marks. Maximum age is 30 years (5 year exemption for social workers). Admission is given through Entrance exam followed by Interview.
6. What are the special features of the subject?
Ans. Students can earn their Livelihood by adopting self employment techniques like starting their own Cottage Industries for which raw material and the end user market both are available in the adjoining rural areas.

Ans. The dept provides Practical training and practice in the following areas:-

Vermicomposting
Lamination
Bakery
Soap and Detergent Manufacturing

Ans. The dept has a separate lab with the required equipments needed for the practical sessions.

Ans. Products made on Experimental basis are as follows:-

Ghan Bati
Pain oil for Joints
Manures
Food Products-
Jam, Pickles, Murraba, Chyavanprash,
Buknu, Tomato Sauce, Amla Chatani, Squash

10. What is the scope and Career prospects of this course?
Ans. Our Students are engaged in the NGO’s, Cottage Industries, and Cowsheds. Students opt for self Employment in the areas of Bee keeping, Vermicomposting, Making Cow products and Food processing etc.
11. What are the Future Plans of the dept?
Ans. To provide self employment opportunities to the Youth of India and to propagate the rural schemes of the dept in the rural areas. To start a regular Diploma Course in Rural Management and Certificate course in Distance Education.
