National Workshop on “Indian Language, Literature and Mass Communication”

A two day National Seminar on “ Indian Language, Literature and Mass Communication ” and a Student Study Tour were inaugurated jointly by the Central Hindi Directorate, Higher Education Department, Human Resource Development Ministry, New Delhi and the Dev Sanskriti University (DSVV). The seminar was organized free of charge in which students from National Institute of Culture, Dev Prayag, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, DSVV and from seven other universities participated. The objective of the program was to promote Hindi language.

The program on Indian Language began with the enkindling of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the Honorable Vice Chancellor of DSVV, Shri Sharad Pardhy. Guiding the youth, he said that instead of looking in the outside world, we should promote and spread our own culture for which promotion of Hindi is the easiest medium. We must be proud of our culture. The responsibility of maintaining the beauty and structure of our language is ours and we must carry this out honestly, said the Vice Chancellor. The Director of Central Hindi Directorate, Mrs. Gandhari, apprised the students of various activities being run by the Centre to promote Hindi.
