Dr. Arunesh Parashar, the coordinator of the NSS in Dev Sanskriti University, participated in the meeting held for review of the State at the Secretariat located in Dehradun. Progress reports were presented by all the coordinators gathered in the meeting. The works of National Service Scheme of DSVV were appreciated by all. Rajeev Gupta, the Secretary for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, outlined the Prime Minister’s Clean India Campaign and “Adarsh Gram Yojana” (Plans for Ideal Village) for the year 2015-16. Also the topics of discussion were the various social issues during the meeting. Regional officer, Dr. Ashok Shrotiya discussed in detail the possibilities of NSS. The State’s NSS Officer, Shri R. C. Dimri described the characteristics of the NSS.
Among the eminent guests who were present in the program were the coordinator of the Haridwar district Shri S.P. Singh, the coordinator of the Dehradun district Dr. Vineet Vishnoi and others. With that the State level NSS examination ended on 29th May. In total 400 students wrote the exams. Dev Sanskriti University was chosen as the center, for the State Level Examination for the category “B” and “C”. In the Exam 250 students participated who belonged to Rishi Sanskriti Mahavidyalaya, Nirdhan Niketan Mahavidyalaya, Jagdev Singh Mahavidyalaya and also to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. Those who played important role in conducting the Examinations were the Examination Controller, Shri Mahendra Sharma, NSS Coordinator, Dr. Arunesh Parashar, and Program Officer, Dr. Monika Pandey, Dr. Umakant Indoliya, Mrs. Anjali Bharadwaj, Shr Avanendu Parashar and Shri Prakhar Singh Pal.
