A University level Cricket Tournament was organized between 24 – 26 September in joint collaboration with the Sports Department and Boy’s Hostel of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. Dr. Chinmay Pandya, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university inaugurated the program. According to Dr. Pandya, with the development of the sportsmanship, the students develop the ability to live in harmony. This, on one side, helps in meeting the criteria for physical development, on the other side helps in raising health psyche. Detailing the outlines of the program, Shri Manoranjan Tripathy said that including the students from B.A., B.C.A., B.Sc., M.B.A. (Tourism), B.A. (yoga) and other Masters program, on whole 10 teams participated in the tournament. Shri Narendra Singh, the Chairman of the Sports Department, on the occasion said that to boost the morale of the participants, judges from the nearby places had been called. According to Mr. Singh, the winning team would be rewarded at the closing of the program.
