Workshop conducted on Understanding Cinemas

A seven days workshop was organized by Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication. The theme of the workshop was “Understanding Cinema” and the chief speaker was Chandrashekar Joshi, who is working as a Film Research Officer at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He has contributed more than 2,000 articles on cinemas and has delivered lectures on various topics of cinemas in the renowned institutes of India.

The workshop was attended by the students and the faculty members of the Department, and the students were given the detailed information on the basic principles of Cinemas, Script, Acting and Direction, information on film genres and traditions was also imparted to the students.

Besides this students were asked to write the scripts. Speaking on the occasion Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Chinmay Pandya, said that Cinemas directly or indirectly is a mirror of good and bad in the society and this type of workshops would encourage the students to write good scripts which would help them to make remarkable contributions in the field of cinemas.
