Dr. Mishra has done doctorate in philosophy from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He worked as Scientist at NDRI, Karnal, Senior faculty at NISIET, Hyderabad, the Chief Executive of Information Technology, Business Incubator and Centre of Learning and Education of GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi established at JSS Academy of Technical Education. He was Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, UP, Lucknow (promoted by IDBI, IFCI, ICICI & Government of India) and Director, Behavioral Science at National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development, New Delhi.

He has worked as the founder Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Gayatrikunj-Shantikunj, Haridwar — a University primarily aiming to be the centre of excellence in the area of yogic science & complimentary system of treatment to physical & mental disorders with the help of yog, yajna, ayurveda, naturopathy, panchkarma, accupressure, pranic healing & spiritual therapy.
His Teaching Career
He has taught M.Sc, Ph.D and Post-Graduate Diploma students and has been Ph.D external examiner of institute of repute & eminence like Tata Institute of Social Sciences, IARI, NDRI etc. He has published eight books and more than 40 articles. Involved in teaching & guiding Ph.D students in the areas of Indian System of Management. He is invited as resource person by various corporate houses for Executive Development Programmes and programmes relating to HRD. He is specialised in the areas of motivation development, OD intervention, inter personal relationship, personal growth & development; and life management techniques.

He is member of various national-level organizations/institutions such as Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, CBSE, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi, JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Krishna Group of Institutes, different universities, voluntary organizations etc. He is also the Vice-President, Indian Yoga Association, New Delhi.
As a chief resource person, he designed programmes and provided inputs and organized workshops sponsored by Commonwealth Secretariat, London in Zambia, Bangladesh, Pakistan. Brunei, Sri Lanka and Singapore. He visited Netherlands for a 3-week interaction programme sponsored by UNDP. He worked in Maldives as a Consultant to devise strategy for youth enterprise development.
