DEPARTMENT OF LIFE MANAGEMENT

Brief Introduction

Introduction

Life is an art itself. The individuals who utilize their time, efforts & potentials in right direction they gain the glory of human life. Proper management of the life is essential for effective and creative living. Though it is not easy because our lives have both visible and invisible dimensions, and it is hard to recognize the invisible ones. Management is comparatively easy in this material world, where everything is visible here. So when we talk about management of life, then it is not sufficient to be intellectual only; we have to be excellent at all levels.

For true success we have to manage ourselves first. If we think deeply and have awareness, then we can listen to the language of our heart, we can know our desires and we can understand our emotions and can also manage them. The meaning of life management is – to have the capacity to answer those questions which takes birth from problems of our life.

Life Management is the compulsory course of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. The target of this university is the holistic development of students and hence, life management stands as the core module of this University, being an essential and integral part of the curriculum of all students.

Uniqueness of the Subject

The meaning of the life management is to identify and develop the potentials of human life. There are two parts of life management- view of life & life style. Through view of life, a human being learns about his own potentials and possibilities and also assesses his life with reference to the circumstances; on the other hand, life style displays the aim and ideals of personality. Without any aim, life style is meaningless & without an insight into life, it is impossible to choose the aim. In the true sense of the word, these are the basics of life management.

Life Management is a dignified and attractive word for all because it is directly related to the lives of all. In reality, this era is the era of management and also is the need of hour. A mob of problems, struggles, desires and ambitions is overburdening human life. It is a big challenge to get success and the biggest challenge is to know the true meaning of success. So the experts of human consciousness suggest various techniques of life management, which are incorporated in this discipline.
