The University of Latvia conferred upon, Dr. Chinmay Pandya, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar, the title of Honorary “Member of the Senate” of the University of Latvia on 29 June 2020. Being one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the Northern Europe, very few from the global intelligentsia are selected in the Managing Committee of this University.
For over a decade, Dr. Pandya has been collaborating with the Prime Educational institutions of the Baltic Nations in identifying their Origin with that of India. With their joint efforts, the first Baltic Study Center of Asia was also established in the year 2014 in the campus of DSVV, wherein various evidences of Indian culture are being traced in the Baltic culture so that comprehensive study of Sanatan culture can be made. To date, 50 plus students and faculties have participated in the exchange programs organized by this center at various times. Prominent among these exchanges have been Erasmus Plus Mobility Programs, under which students participated in the exchange of entire sessions. Erasmus Plus Exchange Program has great importance in the European nations. In one such exchange program, a student had the opportunity to pursue her entire funded research work at the University of Kazimierz Welki, Poland.
Dr. Chinmay Pandya has been continuously trying for many years to lift the All World Gayatri Parivar (AWGP) and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) to new heights in the social and educational fields. DSVV has signed MOU with more than 55 reputed Universities across the globe and is working to spread the thoughts of Param Pujya Gurudev Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya ji worldwide. Being conferred upon with the title by the Managing Committee is a proud moment not only for AWGP and DSVV but also for the whole of India. Revered Dr. Pranav Pandya, the Head of AWGP and the Honorable Chancellor of DSVV, along with Shraddheya Shailbala Pandya also congratulated Dr. Chinmay Pandya on this glorious occasion.
