About the Department

Vision

The vision of the DSVV is “united contemporary education with spiritual training to cultivate well-rounded, competent and personally uplifted graduates, who possess a scientifically grounded understanding and the department also focuses on the experience of spiritual transformation and a powerful drive to use their gifts to promote the greater good of society. However, the application of the acquired knowledge in mathematics and transferable skills to new/unfamiliar contexts and real-life problems is also enlisted in our vision.

Mission 

Demonstrate fundamental/systematic and coherent knowledge of the academic field of mathematics and its applications and links to engineering, science, technology, economics and finance; demonstrate procedural knowledge that create different professionals like teachers and researchers in mathematics, quantitative analysts, actuaries, risk managers, professionals in industry and public services.

 

Demonstrate mathematics-related and transferable skills that are relevant to some of the job trades and employment opportunities.

 

Demonstrate educational skills in areas of analysis, geometry, algebra, data science, differential equations etc. mper.
